Captain Zhao Rui led the team with 24 points, while Hu Jinqiu and rising star Wang Junjie also contributed key plays. China had earlier beaten South Korea 79-71 in the quarterfinals, ending a streak of early exits in recent tournaments.
In the other semifinal, Australia dominated Iran 92-48 and will face China in Sunday’s final as they aim to defend their championship.
