U.S. President Donald Trump met Russian President Vladimir Putin in Anchorage, Alaska, on Friday for nearly three hours of talks — their first face-to-face meeting since 2021.
Afterward, Trump told Fox News that it is up to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to reach a ceasefire deal. He said a meeting involving himself, Zelenskyy, and Putin will take place soon, though no details or timeline were given.
Trump added that European countries should play a role, but stressed that the decision rests with Zelenskyy, saying, “We have a pretty good chance of getting it done.”
