At the 2025 Chengdu World Games freediving competition, Chinese para-athlete Long Dengxi won his second gold medal, adding the men’s dynamic with fins title to his earlier victory in dynamic without fins. Huang Jingqiu of China rebounded from a disqualification to win the women’s dynamic without fins.
Hungary’s Zsofia Torocsik broke the women’s dynamic with fins world record, extending it from 284.0 to 300.0 meters. Poland’s Mateusz Jan Malina also secured a double gold, winning both men’s dynamic events.
The two-day competition saw two world records set, with China topping the medal table with four golds, followed by Poland with three, and Italy in third.
