The “Chinese Bridge,” an interactive zone for learning Chinese language and culture, was launched at the 2025 Chengdu World Games Village. Organized by the Ministry of Education’s Center for Language Education and Cooperation alongside Chengdu University, it offers young athletes from around the world a chance to explore Chinese language and culture beyond sports competition.
The initiative aims to promote the globalization of Chinese language education and cultural exchange, helping international visitors experience a real, multidimensional China. Activities in the zone include choosing a Chinese name, speaking practice, calligraphy, cooking Chinese dishes, painting pandas, and a Chinese-themed photo studio.
