The World Robot Conference opened in Beijing’s Economic-Technological Development Area, featuring nearly 100 new cutting-edge robotics products—almost double last year’s number. The event, running Friday to Tuesday under the theme “Making Robots Smarter, Making Embodied Agents More Intelligent,” includes forums, exhibitions, competitions, and networking with around 200 top robotics companies showcasing over 1,500 exhibits.
More than 400 experts, scientists, international organization reps, and entrepreneurs will attend the main and thematic forums to discuss technology trends and innovations. Highlights include agile quadruped robots, rescue and inspection robots, catheter-shaping robots, robotic lawn mowers, and 50 manufacturers of full-body humanoid robots presenting their latest models.
Over 31 side events will focus on international cooperation, real-world applications, standard testing, accelerating breakthroughs, and talent development. China remains the global leader in robotics, producing 556,000 industrial robots in 2024 and accounting for two-thirds of worldwide robot patent applications.
