The 2025 Inter-Civilizational Dialogue among Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) countries opened on Wednesday in Tianjin, China, with over 300 participants from member states. The event aims to deepen mutual understanding, enhance cultural exchange, and promote a shared future.
Activities included forums, cultural experiences, and exhibitions. A key outcome was a report focused on civilizational dialogue and digital cooperation, proposing a vision for a fair, inclusive, and sustainable digital future. The report highlights the convergence of digital civilization and Chinese modernization, offering insights for shaping a new global digital civilization.
The event is co-hosted by China’s State Council Information Office, China International Communications Group, and the SCO Secretariat.
