South Korean President Lee Jae-myung, who assumed office on June 4, appointed six ministers and two senior secretaries. Key appointments include Koo Yun-cheol as Economy and Finance Minister and deputy prime minister for economic affairs, and Lee Jin-sook as Education Minister and deputy prime minister for social affairs. Other nominees are Jeong Seong-ho as Justice Minister, Yoon Ho-jung as Interior Minister, Kim Jung-kwan as Industry Minister, and Jeong Eun-kyeong as Health and Welfare Minister. Lee also named senior presidential secretaries for civil affairs and NGOs, along with deputy chiefs of the National Intelligence Service.
