Iraqi Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein has called for an emergency meeting of Arab foreign ministers during the upcoming Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) conference in Istanbul, aiming to address urgent regional challenges.
The proposal was made during a phone call with Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty, emphasizing the need for coordinated Arab positions amid rapid developments, particularly the Israel-Iran conflict, which poses serious risks to regional security and stability.
Hussein also spoke with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, and both stressed the importance of the OIC meeting and enhancing diplomatic coordination among Islamic countries to maintain peace and prevent further escalation.
The 51st OIC Council of Foreign Ministers session will be held this Saturday and Sunday in Istanbul.
