China’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian stated that educational cooperation between China and the U.S. is mutually beneficial and should not be politicized. He criticized the Trump administration’s June 4 decision to suspend entry for foreign nationals attending exchange programs at Harvard University, calling it harmful to the U.S.’s international credibility. Lin emphasized that China will continue to protect the rights of its students and scholars abroad.
