Chelsea won the UEFA Conference League final on Wednesday, defeating Real Betis 4-1 with a strong second-half comeback. This victory makes Chelsea the first club to win all four major UEFA competitions.
The club’s previous European titles include two UEFA Winners’ Cups (1971, 1998), two Champions League titles (2012, 2021), and two Europa League titles (2013, 2019), most of which came under former owner Roman Abramovich. Since 2022, Chelsea has been owned by Todd Boehly’s consortium, which invested around $1.3 billion in young talent.
Key players like Enzo Fernandez and Nicolas Jackson scored from Cole Palmer’s assists, followed by goals from Jadon Sancho and Moises Caicedo. Boehly celebrated with the team on the field after captain Reece James lifted the trophy.
Chelsea finished fourth in the Premier League this season, securing a return to the Champions League. English clubs have claimed both the Europa League and Conference League this season, with Tottenham recently beating Manchester United. However, the Champions League final will feature PSG vs. Inter Milan.
