According to a statement from his personal office, former U.S. President Joe Biden was diagnosed on May 16, 2025, with an aggressive form of prostate cancer. The disease, marked by a Gleason score of 9 (Grade Group 5), has metastasized to the bone. The diagnosis followed reports of urinary symptoms, which led doctors to discover a small nodule on his prostate. While the cancer is considered aggressive, it is hormone-sensitive, making it more responsive to treatment. Biden, 82, and his family are currently reviewing treatment options with his physicians. He served as U.S. president from January 2021 to January 2025.
