Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a Joint Statement on Pre-2030 Development Plan on Priorities in China-Russia Economic Cooperation.
The Statement emphasizes mutual respect, equality, and mutual benefit and aims to promote high-quality economic and trade cooperation. The two countries will expand trade, optimize trade structure, and develop e-commerce and other innovative modes of cooperation. They will also increase the proportion of local currency settlement in economic and trade transactions and strengthen energy partnership.
The statement also calls for promoting technology and innovation exchanges and enhancing agricultural cooperation to ensure food security.
