Xi Jinping calls for international data cooperation

Chinese President Xi Jinping expressed his willingness to deepen international data cooperation under the Global Development Initiative framework in a congratulatory message to the 4th United Nations World Data Forum. Xi emphasized that achieving strong, green, and healthy global development is a common aspiration, and China adheres to the new vision for development that features innovative, coordinated, green, open, and shared development. He stated that China will work with other countries to help implement the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development through “data governance.” The United Nations World Data Forum aims to provide a platform for exchanges between global data producers and users, with a focus on sustainable development.
