Xi Jinping calls for a China-Vietnam community with a shared future

Chinese President Xi Jinping of China emphasized the importance of strengthening the relationship between China and Vietnam during a meeting with Truong Thi Mai, a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Central Committee. He called for both countries to consolidate political mutual trust, manage differences, and jointly address risks and challenges. The two sides also discussed improving infrastructure connectivity and people-to-people exchanges as well as promoting regional and global peace and development. This year marks the 15th anniversary of the establishment of comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership between China and Vietnam.
