UEFA announced on Tuesday that Switzerland will host the UEFA Women’s European Championship in 2025. This is a big step forward for women’s football in Switzerland. The country has previously hosted the men’s Euros in 2008, in partnership with Austria. Switzerland won the hosting rights over France, Poland, and the Nordic group of Denmark, Finland, Norway, and Sweden. The final vote was 9-4 in favor of Switzerland.
