Chelsea’s co-owner, Todd Boehly, confidently predicted a 3-0 victory for his team against Real Madrid in their Champions League match, but his optimism was not reflected on the pitch. Chelsea’s hopes of winning a trophy this season now rest on the Champions League, and despite the defeat, their manager Frank Lampard believes they can still mount a comeback in the second leg. However, it will be a tough task, given their recent poor form, which includes 13 defeats in their past 16 matches in all competitions.
