China’s team leader, Shao Jiayi, has warned of a challenging battle against defending champions Qatar on their home turf in the 2023 Asian Cup. Despite Qatar’s poor performance in the World Cup, Shao emphasized that they should not be underestimated and are China’s primary opponents in Group A, which also includes Tajikistan and Lebanon. The event will take place from January 12 to February 10, and the draw has revealed the groups for the tournament.
