With the aim to promote the upcoming 19th Asian Games Hangzhou 2022, The Fun Run was held in Yangon, Myanmar.
Thousands of students from different universities in Yangon, including the Institute of Sports and Physical Education, participated in the Fun Run. Sports enthusiasts also joined the event and cheered on the runners. The Fun Run was separated into two races. The first race was for children under the age of thirteen and the second one was for adolescents above thirteen.
Moreover, a race for people with disabilities was also included to display their abilities and strength. The Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs and the Hangzhou Asian Games Organizing Committee awarded the first ten winners from every race.
This kind of Fun Run is usually held at the capitals of Asian cities with the purpose to promote and attract audiences from every part of the region. The upcoming 2022 Hangzhou Asian Games will be held in Hangzhou and its districts in China where Myanmar’s athletes will take part in this event at least twelve kinds of sports activities.
It is learnt that the upcoming Asian Games will be held at 44 venues on a grand scale in China at which 30 existing stadiums are being used in order to promote an eco-friendly environment.
